Where We’re Headed

Year 7–12 Maths is live. Now we’re building towards every subject, every state — the AI tutor every Australian student deserves.

Q2 2026

Adaptive Difficulty Engine

In Development

AI that adjusts question difficulty in real-time based on your child's proficiency, gap analysis, and confidence level. No more one-size-fits-all.

Q3–Q4 2026

NSW Syllabus Support

Planned

Expanding beyond Victoria to cover the NSW curriculum and HSC pathways. Approximately 75–80% content overlap with Victorian curriculum — we're remapping and filling the gaps.

Multi-Subject Foundation

Planned

Building the architecture to support subjects beyond Maths. The Socratic engine is subject-agnostic — we're preparing the curriculum and prompt infrastructure for Science and English.

2027

Science & English

Planned

Launching Year 7–10 Science (biology, chemistry, physics, earth science) and English (comprehension, essay writing, creative writing) with the same guided discovery approach.

All Australian States & Territories

Planned

Queensland (QCE), South Australia (SACE), Western Australia (WACE), and more. One platform, every syllabus. No student left behind because of their postcode.

School & Tutor Partnerships

Exploring

Bulk licensing for schools and tutoring centres. Teacher dashboards, classroom integration, and cohort-level analytics.

The Vision

Traditional tutoring costs $60–100/hour and isn’t accessible to every family. We’re building a world where every Australian student — regardless of location, income, or school — has access to a patient, brilliant tutor that adapts to them, available 24/7, for the price of a couple of coffees a month.

One subject at a time. One year level at a time. One state at a time. Until every student in the country has the support they deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does imSteyn differ from ChatGPT or other AI chatbots?

imSteyn never gives your child the answer. It uses the Socratic method — guiding questions, step-by-step scaffolding, and adaptive hints — to help students discover answers themselves. It's also curriculum-aligned, tracks progress per topic, and gives parents full visibility.

Is imSteyn safe for children?

Yes. imSteyn is built child-safety-first. Every conversation is monitored for safety concerns, parents are notified immediately if anything is flagged, all chat history is visible to parents, and the AI is hardened against prompt injection and inappropriate content. We collect minimal personal information about children (first name and year level only).

What curriculum does imSteyn follow?

We're aligned to the Australian Curriculum via "Essential Mathematics for the Australian Curriculum" (Cambridge University Press). We support Year 7–12 Mathematics, with multiple state syllabuses coming soon.

Can I try it before paying?

Absolutely. Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required.

How many children can use one account?

Up to 3 children per year level are included in a single parent subscription at no extra cost. You can also invite a co-parent to view your child's progress.

Will you support subjects other than Maths?

Yes! Science and English are on our roadmap for 2027. The Socratic tutoring engine is subject-agnostic — we're building out the curriculum content and specialised prompts to do these subjects justice.
